POLYURETHANE INJECTION
Polyurethane injection is a resin designed to seal leakages through cracks, rock pockets, expansion and control joints in concrete structures. When polyurethane injection and the accelerator mixture come in contact with water, they form a microcellular closed cell gasket with excellent adhesion and long-term flexibility. Following are some polyurethane injection resins:
EPOXY INJECTION
Concrete epoxy injection is a system for welding cracks back together using an epoxy resin. The resin restores the original strength of the concrete. Structural restoration of concrete by epoxy injection is the only alternative to complete replacement. This method protects rebar and stops water leakage. Epoxy-Scel-80 is one of the products that can be used for epoxy injection.
SIKA PLUS 123
SikaTop® 123 PLUS is a polymer-modified, cement-based, fast-setting mortar used to repair overhead and vertical surfaces. It can be used as a structural repair material for dams, ramps, walkways, industrial plants, and more.
DRAINAGE BOARD
DELTA®-MS provides two lines of defence. The first is an impermeable plastic sheet that is waterproof. The second is the dimpled structure that offers a free drainage path. Unlike a coating, DELTA®-MS bridges cracks of all sizes, ignores damage points as well as deflects water and soil dampness.
ELASTOMERIC MEMBRANES
Aqua-Bloc is an elastomeric waterproofing compound, which is resistant to mild acids and can be used to repair hot rubberized asphalt membrane. This compound should not be used in potable water installation and should be protected from damage during construction. In addition to Aqua-Bloc, the other foundation membranes are Blueskin and Cantex.
SUMP PUMPS
As groundwater rises under the foundation, it is diverted into a catch basin and at a predetermined level the sump pump will automatically activate to regulate the water table. A sump pump can save you thousands of dollars in the long run by protecting you from water damage.
DRIVEWAY DRAINS
DrainLine 150 is a durable polymer concrete trench drain system that is used in home, office, and other areas. This system is used for draining large amounts of water.
